Back into the Pyramid
A lot of people have asked me about this since Zahi Hawass announced it back in 2023, so I’m finally finding time for a quick update. Yes, after waiting patiently for 14 years, we have stepped back into the depths and heights of the Great Pyramid.
We are incredibly privileged to get access to this last remaining wonder of the ancient world, and we take our responsibilities very seriously. We feel that remarkable sites such as the pyramid are part of our shared human inheritance and I know how important they are to a lot of people who may only explore through their screens.
So we are doing what we can to map the hidden parts of the pyramid, and that may include investigating the so-called “Big Void” and the “gate” that may conceal a small chamber at the top of the Queens Chamber Northern “air shaft”.
We want to share anything we find as soon as possible. However, the privilege of access quite rightly means that we can’t publish any results until they have been formally peer-reviewed in publications about Egyptology and archaeology. The things I have been able to discuss are more related to our methods, and the only place I have openly talked about them is on Matt Beall’s Limitless podcast. This is your chance to be a treasure hunter – you should be able to track the interview down on your favourite podcast/video site 🙂
We have not been idle in the last 14 years since we carried out our last exploration. We have been working on more advanced robotics, electronics, snake radars, techniques, history, archaeology research. Progress is inevitably a little slow because
- We have a small, busy team of global experts and it is difficult to simultaneously tear people away from their other adventures
- We are creating new advanced technology specifically for these tasks, such as the “snake radars”
My aim is to finally complete all of our objectives (which began in 2004 for myself and TC Ng!) in 2026.
Exciting times…..
